When Japan Red Cross adopted Nucleic Acid Amplification Test for blood screening for the first time in the world in October, 1999, PSS supplied genetic testing system in collaboration with our OEM partner, Roche Diagnostics KK. Since the introduction of system, occurrence rate of serum hepatitis has dramatically declined in Japan.
The instruments, which PSS manufactured and sold through our OEM partners, were intensively used around the world in the sample preparation process before detecting viral RNA of swine-origin influenza during the global pandemic of 2009-2010.
PSS participated in educational programs in which our researchers taught science in nearby elementary schools.
